One Day Dentures
Your first session for your One Day Dentures with Dr. Fridamn. During this session she will take impressions of your teeth and gums as well as any old dentures that you wish to simulate. A bite relation will be taken and a shade for the new denture teeth.
Approximately one and one-half-hours later, the dentures will be ready for the try-in. At that time, Dr. Fridman will check the fit, the function and appearance of the wax dentures in your mouth.
Upon your approval, we will schedule an appointment to pick up your new dentures, which will usually be at 18:00. THAT SAME DAY!
The wax dentures will then be processed during the afternoon in our lab.
When you return to receive your new dentures, Dr. Fridmanr will go through a series of checks to carefully adjust them before you leave. She wants to make sure you have a proper fit and a great smile.
It is normal as your new One Day Dentures are worn and begin to settle into the gums, you may have some sore spots and need further adjustments. There is no charge for these adjustments.
If, however, your gums have shrunk because the dentures were made soon after the extraction of your teeth, or you lost weight and now they no longer fit your gums, then we need to reline your dentures. A reline means we take impressions inside your denture and add acrylic to the inside to tighten the fit to your new gum shape. There is a fee for this procedure and you can find it in our pricing page.
